TimerCheck Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
atelier-flare ("we") respects your privacy in your use of the macOS app TimerCheck ("the App") and handles information in accordance with the following policy.
The App does not collect or transmit any personal information whatsoever.
1. Information Stored
The App stores the following information on your Mac only:
- The number and positions of timer faces (small windows) and each face's toggle settings
- Global settings such as display style, colors, and the message shown when a timer finishes
- App preferences such as the sound to play when a timer finishes
This information is stored only on your Mac through the standard macOS preferences system (UserDefaults) and is never sent to any server, including ours.
2. File Access
Only when you choose a custom audio file as the completion sound does the App read that file. So that the same file can be played in later sessions, the App stores a reference to it on your Mac as a macOS security-scoped bookmark.
The App accesses only files you explicitly select, and access is read-only. The contents of your files never leave your Mac.
3. Communication with External Services
The App communicates with no external servers. It performs no transmissions for analytics or behavioral tracking of any kind.
4. Accounts
No account creation or sign-in is required to use the App. It never asks for your name, email address, or any other personal details.
5. Tracking and Advertising
The App uses no user-tracking mechanisms, analytics tags, or crash-report collection. It displays no advertising.
6. Deleting Your Data
All of the App's data is stored only on your Mac. After deleting the App itself, removing the container folder that macOS creates for it (~/Library/Containers/com.atelierflare.timercheck) permanently erases all data, including timer-face state and settings.
